Portfolio Performance Up, March 2024 Financials & Changes At FANZ

The 31 March 2024 Financials have recently been approved and can be viewed here. These show the investment portfolio sat at $2,405,694 as at that date which was a pleasing year on year increase reflecting a more positive market over the previous 12 months.

JMI Wealth & Jarden continue as investment managers and in addition to regular reporting the Trustees meet with them at least six monthly - and more frequently if needed - to discuss performance against the Balanced portfolio approach being followed.

Useful discussions were held at the end of 2023 with Katrina Shanks as CEO of FANZ, prior to her moving to Australia to head up ANZIIF, and in early 2024 we welcomed Nick Hakes as her replacement. The Trustees have since had several meetings with Nick - with one including FANZ Chair Heather Roy also - to give him an understanding of the Trust and to discuss how we can continue to support their initiatives and financial advice in New Zealand. Arising from these, in September this led to us being represented at a FANZ Board meeting with a useful dialogue on our respective objectives and working together.
